ITS strive to promote a positive impact through the experiences we provide for groups travelling and the countries, people and environments we visit.
Responsible Tourism goes hand in hand with being a good destination management company
World travel has opened its doors to more destinations than it was ever thought a hundred years ago. Transport and communications, explorers and trade have pushed the boundaries of world travel. More destinations are becoming accessible and more people than ever before are making journeys to far off locations in search of something new, spiritual; to see new lands, cultures and people. Age is no longer a barrier and countries in their growth and political stability are becoming more open and reachable to the masses.
With this growth in tourism comes new opportunities for the people of these countries, some of the opportunities are positive but there are also negative aspects to tourism.
As a responsible destination management company for schools worldwide, it is our duty to support local communities in those countries we visit in a positive and practical role. We need to ensure that we are giving more to the communities and environment than what we are taking away through our tours with school groups. It is important that we conserve the local environment and protect the cultural heritage to ensure the lives of the local people are being improved in a positive way.
